11th Annual Social Planning Awards

We are pleased to invite nominations for the Eleventh Annual Lakehead Social Planning Council’s Social Planning Awards.  The Awards presentation will be made at our Annual General Meeting that will be held Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 at the Days Inn 645 Sibley Drive.

Two awards are presented, one to an organization and one to an individual. Any resident and/or organization in Thunder Bay who have worked towards enhancing the quality of life in the city or the district of Thunder Bay for at least three years are eligible.

Last year’s recipients of the LSPC Social Planning Awards were:

Individual: Susan Landversitch

Organization: Regional Food Distribution Association and Diversity Thunder Bay

In order to be considered for this award, each nomination letter must be signed by two (2) separate sources.  Nominees will be evaluated by a sub-committee of the Board of Directors of the Lakehead Social Planning Council.  The enclosed nomination form and accompanying summary must be received by Friday, May 21st, 2010.  This will allow time for the panel to consider the submissions and notify the honourees.
